Our Curricula
Math, reading, writing, motivation, or study skills – whatever your child’s needs are, we have them covered. At Growing Success Academy, our first priority is meeting your child where they are. Then, we focus on helping them get to where they need to go.
Our Process
Wondering how it all works? Read about our process below, from your very first phone call with our Academy Director, to your child’s first session with their tutor.
This important first step means you will the chance to speak directly with our Academy Director about your child’s areas of need, their strengths, their personality, their interests, and their learning style. Relevant medical, educational, social-emotional, and family history will also be discussed.
Next, our Academy Director will personally contact your child’s classroom teacher, and any other professionals who may be providing support to your child. This way, we can ensure our expertise is integrated into your child’s existing support team.
Then, we will consult with our team of highly qualified educators to determine which member of our team will be the right “fit” for your child. This is based on a variety of important criteria: areas of need, strengths, personality, interests, and learning style. Information about your child will be shared with the tutor at this stage.
After, you will be connected with your child’s tutor. You will have the chance to learn more about their educational and professional background, set goals for your child’s tutorial support, and map out a schedule that meets your family’s needs.
Now, your family will meet your child’s tutor and they will have their first session together. The tutor will come with an engaging, effective, and personalized lesson plan, filled with interactive activities designed to help them get to know your child as a student and person. This first session will help to determine their instructional planning for your child moving forward. You can expect to receive relevant feedback from your child’s tutor about their first session.
Soon after their first session, our Academy Director will contact you directly to ensure your satisfaction with your child’s tutor. We will check-in again after subsequent sessions to confirm we have found the right “fit” for both your child and their tutor.
According to the frequency of sessions and your child’s areas of need, our Academy Director will regularly follow up with you to reflect on your child’s progress and to help determine next steps in their Growing Success journey. Ongoing feedback from your child’s tutor will facilitate this important step.
